Meal Moths

ABOUT MEAL MOTHS

Meal Moths are considered pantry pests - greatest important is as pests of stored grain, damaging about 10% of the world annual production. They are usually found with spoiled food material. They will penetrate packages.

​

Meal Moths are brown and have a lifecycle of 35-70 days. They have two pairs of cellophane like wings covered with scales. Their antennas are long and slender. The life stages are egg, larva, pupa, adult.
