  • Prevention - inspect incoming and stored items for pests; reduce entry; adequate venelation
  • Good Sanitation - Timely removal of spilled commodity
  • Proper Storage -  All items up on pallets. In the home - storage in air tight plastic or glass jars. If source not in the kitchen, check closets, dresser drawers for decorative items made from grains or seeds. 
  • Stock Rotation - Rotate out the oldest stock 
  • Venelation - Keep food moisture content low
  • Control - Correctly identify pests for treatment
