Beetles

ABOUT BEETLES

​

Beetles are found worldwide and range up to 1 3/8" long. Their body is elongated and somewhat flattened. They are usually black and shiny, some are brightly colored. Their head is at their eyes and narrower with their hind section much enlarged. Their legs are usually long and slender. They give off unpleasant odor when crushed and their larvae is dirty white to dirty yellow to dirty black. The beetles life cycle is about one year, adults live 2-4 years.

CONTROL OF BEETLES

Remove objects which beetles can hide under, several feet from building. Seal points of entry. Change exterior light bulbs to yellow. We treat the foundation and perimeter!

HABITATS OF BEETLES

​

 Beetles are typically found on the ground, usually under something such a s stones during the day. Some climb trees and most are nocturnal. They enter structures by crawling under door thresholds, windows and more when the lights are on. Insects are a large part of their diet, including the larvae of undesirable pests.
